This buffalo trio is inspired by a photograph taken by my friend who happens to be a phenomenal photographer. Evelyn Barkey has visited The Buffalo Farm on few occasions, and I am always in awe looking at her photos of these big, beautiful beasts. This airbnb destination is just North of us in Mattawa. The thought of seeing these guys in person after painting this big canvas, has me excited to plan an anniversary weekend this summer! Sleeping in a yurt or tipi, star gazing, open fields, grazing buffalo, camp fires and smokey clothes. Can you smell it?!

Ursus Americanus aka. Black Bear
My husband and I are hunters... well technically I've never shot at an animal, but I have my licence and my own compound bow. We try to harvest an animal every season. So far we've brought home 2 bear, 2 deer and 1 moose. They have filled our freezer and I have had the pleasure of putting honest food on our table to feed my family. No part of the animal is waisted and we are nothing short of grateful for these animals. Peter and I feel very blessed to live in a place where this is not only a hobby and a passion but something that our bodies can benefit from. It feeds us: mind, soul and tummies!
Acrylic on paper covered canvas
36 x 60"
$3000

This painting was inspired by a picture my friend took while she was on a missions trip in Africa. While my friend was in her village, the woman accepted Jesus Christ as her savoir and was baptized in the river.
Acrylic on paper covered canvas 24'' x 25

This captivating photo was taken by my stud when he went on a missions trip to Cuba back in 2013. I had also gone once before when we were dating, so this picture hit home for me the moment I saw it.
Acrylic on paper covered canvas 30'' x 22''

I don't normally paint animals but this puppy was special. I enjoyed using my brush strokes to create the fluffy fur and the bright blue eyes that just pop out at you! Oh the cuteness
24 x 36'' Acrylic on paper covered canvas

This painting was from a picture I took of one of my very close friends at the 2013 Sons & Daughters conference. The picture seemed to portray perfectly the essence of that gathering. She was glowing; we all were.
Acrylic on paper covered canvas 30'' x 22'
This painting was a commission I did for some friends of ours. The gentleman in the painting is a Burks Falls resident and once I heard about this photograph that had been taken of him, I just had to paint it!
Acrylic on paper covered canvas

Spring of 2017 I was commissioned to paint a piece for Muskoka Brewery in honour of their co-founder, Gary McMullen.
11 x 14'' acrylic on paper covered canvas

A commission piece for a lucky birthday girl. I had fun with it and enjoyed the challenge.

Meet my Grandma Chava. She lives all the way in Australia and this is a photo I took of her one afternoon at Balmoral Beach. The life this beautiful woman has lived should be made into a movie- but personally, the way she tells her stories, I don't think a movie would do them justice.
Acrylic on paper covered canvas 18'' x 18''

This praiser is a girl I met in Redding, California the summer of 2014. A group of 5 of us travelled down to Bethel for a two week worship school. We rented a cute house near the school where we were able to host a fun BBQ// dance party! Probably while dancing to When Jesus Say Yes by Michelle Williams I caught this epic photo of Shantae. Praising our hearts out. Thats what happened in California.

This sweet lady was a wonderful host to me when we ate lunch at her house during our trip to Italy in 2012.
